Bethel, Connecticut

Bethel was incorporated as a town in 1855.

The town built a gravity system that began operating in September, 1878.

The town offered to sell the water system to Aquarion for $7.2 million in 2013, but voters turned it down.

Water is provided by the Town of Bethel.
