National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers

Dayton, Ohio, September 2, 1867 Hampton, Virginia, December 14, 1870

National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers were opened in three locations in 1866-1867 and a fourth in 1870  Each of these facilities included a steam plant providing heat and power.
