Said corporation is formed for the purpose of supplying heat by means of steam to the public in the city of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, and to such persons, partnerships and corporations residing therein or adjacent thereto as may desire the same.

1893 An Ordinance granting permission to the Overbrook Steam Heat Company of Philadelphia to enter upon certain streets, avenues, and highways in the City of Philadelphia, in the Twenty-second Ward, and to lay therein its pipes, conduits and service pipes to supply steam for heating to the buildings erected thereon.
