Howard, New York

The Town of Howard was settled about 1803. 

The Howard Water Works Company was incorporated in 1854 with a capital stock of $1,000 by Aaron McConnell, Ira Lane, Lyman Jones, Asa McConnell, Jacob Hannah and Alexander Jones "for the purpose of supplying the village of Howard, in the county of Steuben, with pure and wholesome water."  No evidence has been found that the company built a system.

The Town of Howard does not have a public water supply system.
