Lebanon was incorporated as a borough in 1821 and as a city in 1885.
The borough was authorized to build water works in 1869 and built a gravity system that began service in 1872.
The City of Lebanon Authority was incorporated on July 30, 1935.
Water is provided by City of Lebanon Authority.
