New Haven was incorporated as a borough in 1867 and joined the city of Connellsville when it was formed in 1911.
The New Haven Water Company was incorporated on July 22, 1884 by William S. Kuhn and others with a capital stock of $30,000. The company purchased water from the Connellsville Water Company, which purchased the New Haven Water Company sometime before 1911.
