Summit Hill was incorporated as

The Summit Hill Water Company was incorporated on October 4, 1876 and build a system that began operation in January, 1877.

The water company was bought by the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company in May, 1927. 

The Summit Hill Water Authority was incorporated on August 1, 1950 and purchased the water company on April 24, 1953 for $170,000

Water is provided by the Summit Hill Water Authority.
