Franklin, Tennessee

Franklin was founded in 1799

The Franklin Water Company was incorporated in 1809 by a group of citizens who "at their own expence hath caused water to be brought in pipes into the said town."

The city of Franklin built water works in 1905.

The waterworks are currently owned by the City of Franklin.
