Pearisburg, Virginia

Pearisburg was founded in 1808.

The town of Pearisburg was authorized to construct a water system in 1830 and apparently did so soon thereafter.

The Giles County Public Service Authority was formed on October 2, 1992 to provide bulk water service to communities in Giles County, including Pearisburg.

Water is provided by the Giles County Public Service Authority and distributed by the Town of Perisburg.

Federal Funds Sought by 2 More State Towns.  Pearisburg and Dillwyn Seek $25,000 each.  Pearlsburg asked for an allotment of $25,000 for the construction of sewers and additions to the water works system.
